@LOG - Geomechanics Log Interpretation

@LOG is a unique log interpretation tool that derives mechanical properties based on standard log
measurements. The tool has been widely used by ADVANTEK with large success in matching
both field and core measured values. The tool builds heavily on the field experience and expertise of the ADVANTEK staff. The tool includes unique correlations for varying formation types specifically in soft formations.

  • Physically measure properties and stresses!
  • Micro fracturing, and XLOT for stresses are expensive!
  • Recovering undisturbed core is difficult and costly!
  • Tests on core samples need upscaling!
  • Conventional logging only measures secondary parameters.
  • The most viable solution is to profile the secondary logging parameters and infer the properties and stress profiles.
